The countdown is on for one of the most anticipated events in the Professionals of Wigan (POW) calendar as our Annual Race Day returns to Haydock Park Racecourse on Friday 22nd May 2026.

This year’s event promises another fantastic afternoon of networking, racing, and local business connections being made, with over 150 guests from businesses and organisations across the borough coming together for a memorable day.

Founded by Lisa McAllister, Director of Lines Henry, and Jamie Grimshaw, Commercial Director of Compare Your Funding, POW has spent the last 10 years building a thriving business community centred around collaboration, support, and meaningful local connections. Events like Race Day are a huge part of what makes the POW community so special, bringing professionals together in a relaxed and enjoyable setting away from the office.
