What an incredible day we had at Haydock Park Racecourse for our annual Professionals of Wigan (POW) Race Day 2026!

The sun certainly came out for us, with glorious weather throughout the day as over 150 guests from businesses across the borough gathered for one of the highlights of the POW calendar. Guests enjoyed the sunshine from the VIP area with plenty of networking, flowing drinks, and of course a few lucky winners on the gee gees!

The celebrations didn’t stop at the races either, with post-race drinks and a famous Wigan pie back at Sherringtons Bar to round off a brilliant day in true POW style.

Our guests were also treated pastries and cookies kindly donated by Costco and to fantastic goodie bags, including some amazing sweets from local supplier Sweetlife Online Ltd – apparently the perfect cure for the following morning!

One of the highlights of the day was our Charity Draw, and thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who took part in the sweep, we raised an amazing £460 on the day, which has been topped up by POW to a fantastic total of £600!
